What is SIN?
Sin is an attitude that says that though I know there’s a creator who created me. I couldn’t care less. I am the God in my own life. I decide what I do with my life. I decide what is right and wrong for me and i would reject what my creator intended to be right and wrong.
Sin entering the world
We always talk about sin entering the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Which means sin entered into the world through this attitude of rejecting God’s authority as our creator when Eve rejected God’s authority of not eating the fruit and therefore implying she is the God of her life. She decided what was good and bad for her. From that point on all hell broke loose and we as humanity continue to live in this state of being bound to sin.
Origin of the attitude
But I don’t see anyone addressing the origin of why this attitude was in us in the first place. And I think the answer might be in the fact that any creature who was given free will in order to choose for itself inherently has the attitude to accept or reject which is what makes free will possible. So sin was a byproduct or an inexcusable factor when the ideal of free will was bestowed upon us.
The inevitable
To create a creature that would choose to love God meant that freewill had to exist. And if free will exist the possibility or the attitude to reject was a factor that cannot be ruled out. Though Adam was the forerunner to act this attitude out and modelled this, i don’t think he is to be blamed for the entire humanities downfall.. Somewhere down the lane someone would’ve exercised this attitude leading to where we are. This was bound to happen. Maybe way sooner than.
